I am a 41 year old caucasian woman. I weigh 127 and I am 65" tall. I have always eaten a primarily whole foods diet and been in good to fantastic shape. I exercise daily (swithching it up) and eat around 1300 calories/ day. Despite my healthy lifestyle, I have put on 10 lbs this year and eat less than ever. I eat 3 meals/ day and add fruit in between meals. My body fat with the tape measure method says I am around 27%. I hope this is not accurate, that is a very large jump from my 12% just 6 years ago. I fear that with age, my hormones may be affecting my body and fat retention? I have stepped up my exercise (45 minutes daily) for the last 5 weeks, and I have not lost a pound. I realize muscle weighs more than fat, but why have I not lost any weight and why is my body fat so high despite my very healthy lifestyle. Too big changes too quickly.

Thank you for this, however, I am not experiencing hunger. I do not have any of the symptons listed. My whole life I have eaten very healthy, the weight has not creeped up this year - it exploded onto my body. I feel something else might be going on. any other ideas?
