What might cause HDL to go lower?

My HDL has been over 60 for many years. I am an ardent cardiovascular exerciser and eat a healthy diet. My recent blod test showed my HDL at 50. It has never been anywhere near that low and was 63 last year. What might cause such a drop? I am very concerned and can't find any info on this…
