sam57,   Thanks for your question.   Aspirin is often combined with Plavix to achieve a greater degree of anti-platelet activity.  Some doctors use Plavix alone, while others combine it with 81 mg of aspirin, and others use 325 mg.  As far as the crestor, avapro,  coreg, and spironolactone, these are all compatible with no expected side effect.    You must check with your doctor before taking the aspirin, and ask his preference.  He will base his decision on your particular situation as well as his own experience and reading of the literature.  Be sue he knows of any prior history of stomach disorders such as ulcer disease or bleeding, which will factor in his decision making process.   If you are taking the aspirin for a headache or muscle pain, and not for treatment of your heart disease, then I would avoid the aspirin because of the Plavix, and take Tylenol (acetaminophen) instead.   I hope this has been helpful.  Best wishes.   Martin Cane, M.D.
