Q: How long does it take for Pravastatin to leave body after you stop taking it?

I have taken Pravastatin 40mg for 1 year.  I developed a throbbing in legs and arms and also tingling in legs.  Stopped taking Pravastatin approx 7 wks ago and symptoms have gotten better but are still there.

Hi Summer,

 

Following a single dose of pravastatin, the half life of pravastatin along with its active metabolites is approximately 77 hours.  I recommend consulting your physician regarding your symptoms.
