Q: I have been on simvastatin for over 1 year....do I have to stay on this medication the rest of my life?

Hi Charlie,

 

That depends on your medical situation and whether or not you've made any diet/lifestyle changes to promote a lower cholesterol level. I recommend discussing with your doctor to see if you can wean off the medication and/or your long term treatment plan.
