Hi,   It sounds like you are on the right on track.  Keep up the good work!  Stick with the running and abdominal workouts.  When running, make sure you're working as hard as you should.  Do a quick "talk test".  If you can walk and talk with no trouble, step up the pace.  If you can talk, but need to take a breath every 4-5 words, you're right on track.  If you are gasping for breath after every word - slow down!   If your goal is to be more lean, add strength training (lift weights).  If you're unfamiliar with weight machines or free weights, ask a gym employee to show you lifts to work each muscle group, so you know what you're doing and don't hurt yourself.  As you build muscle, your metabolism (rate you burn calories at rest) will increase and you'll move towards your goal that much quicker!   Also, review the foods you eat everyday to make sure you're making healthy choices (fruits and veggies everyday, whole grain breads/pastas, lean meats, low fat dairy, etc.).   All the best,   Lisa Nelson, RD, LN Lose Weight
