Q: I received results from a blood work-up. Cholesterol Level 200 HDL Cholesterol 49 LDL Cholesterol 138 Triglycerides 167 Am I considered in the danger zone? Kathy

I have never been doctored for any of the results before.  Should I be terribly concerned?

Your results indicate that your lipid profile has a tendency to be altered with predominately, slightly high triglycerides; your cholesterol is within the upper limit. I shouldn't say to be "terribly" concerned, but, if you are 50 years and older, then you should take some serious changes to keep your lipid profile within the upper limits. All the best!
