Q: I am 28 and have xanthelasma in both eyes.Gp checked my cholestrol level and it is ok. I could feel pain in back of my feet. I am thin. I have no family history of heart desease but have diabetes.

gp examind my blood 3 imes but everything is ok since he found a minor change in my blood cell that is red blood cell is small. my xanthelasma grew in my eyes 5 years ago when i was 23. now it spreading. what can i do get rid of xanthelasma and from the pain of my feet. i read several paper about it. it seems that my cholestrol is storing in my body. please help.

Hi Summer,

 

Have you had a comprehensive lipid panel completed to investigate your cholesterol levels and particle sizes further? If not, this is the next step I'd recommend you discuss with your physician.

I will talk to my GP about it. thanks again.

Do you think I have restrict my food habit? ie avoiding milk, meat ?

I dont have any child but planning in next year.

Hi Summer.

 

Yes, it could mean making some diet changes. Once you look further into your cholesterol particle sizes your physician should be able to give you more direct guidance on what diet or activity changes will make the greatest impact.
