I have had another test after 6 weeks on Zocor Chol 2.46 HDL 0.82 LDL 1.19 Tri 0.99 The result seems OK apart from the HDL. Should I worry?

clogged arteries

If you had high cholestrol and then it lowered with the help of Zocor, would that unclog your arteries if they were bad before you started taking the medicine?

Can't get HDL to go up

Over the last  year I have been doing everything I can to elevate my HDL. I exercise for an hr. a day, have a high fiber low fat diet, do not smoke and take 1000mg of niaspan (I also take 40 mg of simvastatin.) For the longest time my HDL has been 33. I have reduced my LDL from 240 to 109.What's up with the HDL?
