Help for RAISING GOOD CHOLESTEROL without medication?!!

My 28 year old son has low good cholesterol. He is active, exercises regularly and maintains a healthy diet. Is there any way to boost the good cholesterol without medication? Is there a specific diet or natural herbs that will help?  Thanks for any ideas!

Does my mother really need drugs for high cholesterol?

My mother's doctor has been trying to get my mom on medication for her cholesterol for years. I am perplexed, because her numbers are as follows: Total Chol. 267LDL 133HDL 104Triglycerides 151  With a ratio of 2.6, aren't those numbers actually good? Becky
