would i have it to?

my grandmother had high cholesterol and my mother has it to. can it be passed on to me when i get older or not. i enjoy butter and eat alot of it. could that increase the risks of me getting it.

Lipitor or Zocor.. question about two recent studies

Recently I read a study that said zocor reduced the occurance of alzheimers,dementia, and parkinsons by app 45% and Lipitor by only 10%Two days later, I read a study that said changing from Liptor to Zocorincreased your chance of having a heart attack or stroke by 33%.What is the better choice and why?Thank you
