Omega-6 fatty acids may lower heart disease risk

A new study published in the medical journal Circulation has found that omega-6 fatty acids are a beneficial part of a heart-healthy eating plan. Omega-6 fatty acids are found in such foods as nuts, seeds, and vegetable oils. Previous studies had linked these acids to a increase in inflammation, suggesting that they might increase a person's cardiovascular risk.
