According to an analysis of eight previous studies, chocolate can help lower cholesterol, but only if it is eaten in small amounts and only by some people. Chinese researchers say these moderate amounts of cocoa appear to only help people who already have risk factors for heart disease. They added that more higher quality and rigorously randomized trials are needed to verify chocolate's effects on health.
