An animal study in Canada has found a possible link between
cholesterol and Type 2 diabetes. One cause of Type 2 diabetes is
reduced insulin production. Researchers have found that the buildup
of cholesterol in certain cells in the pancreas may reduce how much
insulin the cells produce. This could help cause Type 2 diabetes.
