Lipitor, Crestor makers join three other drug companies in swallowing "Bitter Pill" award

The Prescription Access Litigation (PAL) Project, a national health and consumer advocacy group, slammed the makers of Lipitor, Crestor, and three other drugs with its annual "Bitter Pill Award." PAL gives the award to pharmaceutical companies that engage in "overly aggressive direct marketing" to consumers. Direct marketing, PAL argues, skirts doctors' medical advice in an effort to increase prescription revenues. Read more »
