WelChol makes Zetia/Zocor combo work better, study finds

A new study has found that taking WelChol along with other cholesterol medicines may make the medicines more effective at lowering cholesterol. Researchers found that patients who took WelChol with a combination of Zetia and simvastatin (Zocor) cut their bad cholesterol levels more than those who took the Zetia/simvastatin combination alone.
