Cholesterol drug Niaspan may soon have "low flush" formula

Kos Pharmaceuticals has asked the Food and Drug Administration for approval of a new form of its cholesterol medicine Niaspan. The new caplet is designed to reduce the uncomfortable facial flushing the drug can sometimes cause. Niaspan, a form of the nutrient niacin, is used to raise HDL ("good") cholesterol levels in the blood. Read more »
