Study: Lipitor beats generic Zocor for lowering hospital costs

Lipitor lowers hospitalization costs for patients with heart disease more than generic Zocor, a new study suggests. Researchers found that study patients who took Lipitor had hospitalization costs that were 21-percent lower than patients who took generic Zocor. Lipitor also reduced study patients' overall risk of any cardiovascular event by 20 percent. Read more »
