Study: Soy med lowers cholesterol

A medication made from soy was shown to lower cholesterol in a new study. The med, Lunasin, is a recently discovered component of soy that's thought to be the key to soy's cholesterol-lowering properties. Lunasin works by blocking a gene that's responsible for making cholesterol and helping a gene that lowers cholesterol already in the blood. Read more »
