Taking a cholesterol test may be able to help a woman decide if she
should take hormone replacement therapy. Researchers tested the
theory that cholesterol levels could predict which women would have
heart problems while using HRT. The study found that women with
good cholesterol levels did not have an increased risk for heart
attacks while taking HRT, while women with high levels did have a
heightened risk.
