Healthy women can lower stroke risk by lowering cholesterol

Women who reduce their cholesterol also cut their risk of having a stroke, new research suggests. Harvard researchers found that women in the study who had no history of heart disease or stroke but who had high cholesterol were more than twice as likely to have a stroke than women with normal cholesterol levels.
