Higher doses of Lipitor may lessen heart-disease risks in some diabetics

Higher doses of Lipitor (atorvastatin) may help some diabetics who have signs of heart disease, a new study at the University of Glasgow has found. Diabetic patients participating in the study who took 80 mg of Lipitor daily rather than the normal 10-mg dosage showed a 25-percent reduction in the rate of major cardiovascular events. Read more »
