A recent study has shown that a combination of Crestor and Zetia (ezetimibe) helps high-risk patients lower their cholesterol levels better than Crestor alone. Ninety-four percent of the study's patients who took the combination of Crestor and Zetia achieved LDL-cholesterol levels below 100 mg/dL; 79 percent achieved those levels using Crestor alone. High-risk patients include people with diabetes and those with non-diabetes-related cardiovascular problems.
