Web site allows patients to report statin side effects

Researchers at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine have set up a new Web site to allow patients from around the world to report adverse side effects of statins and other cholesterol-lowering drugs. Researchers say the site will allow doctors and other health care professionals to study the side effects of statins. They also hope the site will give patients a confidential place to share information about their experiences. Read more »
