FDA investigates Vytorin, cancer link

Officials at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) say they are investigating whether the cholesterol-lowering combination drug Vytorin increases users' risk of cancer. The FDA's move comes in response to a recent trial that found that a larger percentage of patients treated with Vytorin were diagnosed with and died from all types of cancer combined, when compared to those treated with a placebo.
