To Lower Triglycerides

A new study has given further evidence that high levels of
triglycerides in the blood are strong predictors of cardiac
trouble. Researchers followed the progress of 4,162 heart attack
patients who were taking statins to lower their cholesterol. They
found that patients who reduced their cholesterol and also had
lower triglyceride levels had a 20 percent lower risk of having a
new cardiac event than patients who had reduced cholesterol but
higher levels of triglycerides.
