Pistachios may help lower cholesterol, study finds

Researchers in Turkey have found that pistachio nuts may help lower total cholesterol levels. Forty-four subjects were assigned either a normal diet or a diet in which 20 percent of the daily caloric intake came from pistachios. The subjects who consumed the pistachio-rich diet showed a 12-percent drop in their overall cholesterol numbers. Read more »
