Many women don't know that their risk of heart disease increases
significantly as they get older, according to a new survey of women
in Britain. Heart problems are most likely after menopause but 78
percent of women who took the survey didn't know that. Nearly half
did not know that cholesterol levels tend to rise after age 50 when
the female hormone estrogen and its protective benefits drop.
