Very low cholesterol may boost cancer risk

People who take statins and achieve very low cholesterol levels may be slightly increasing their cancer risk, experts say. Researchers discovered this cancer risk by accident during studies designed to find adverse side effects from taking statins. The increased cancer risk is small, scientists say, and should not prevent people from taking the cholesterol-lowering meds. Read more »
