A nationwide survey has found that while over half of U.S. women are concerned about high cholesterol, only 32 percent know their actual cholesterol number. Researchers say these statistics show strides have been made in educating women about cholesterol. But because knowing your cholesterol number is the first step in controlling cholesterol, experts say there's still a disconnect between women's awareness and the action needed to address their health risk.
