U.S. high cholesterol rates down 30 percent: CDC

A new report from researchers at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has found that the number of people who have high levels of bad cholesterol in the United States dropped by nearly 30 percent between 1999 and 2006. But the bad news, researchers say, is that too many of the people who do have these high levels of LDL cholesterol don't know it.  Read full story >
