Vytorin, Zetia Cancer Link 'Unlikely,' FDA Says

Officials with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) say it is "unlikely" that the cholesterol drugs Vytorin and Zetia increase the risk of developing or dying from cancer. But the FDA said that it can't definitely rule out a link between the two drugs and cancer risk. Officials made this statement after reviewing a clinical trial that had found an increased risk of cancer and death in patients taking Vytorin and Zetia.
