Cheek Swab Test May Help You Choose a Diet

Stanford University researchers have developed a DNA test from a cheek swab sample that may let people know which diet will help them lose the most weight. In a recent study, scientists took DNA samples study participants using a cheek swab. The researchers then assigned the study participants an eating plan that would seem most effective for their particular genetic type. At the end of the study, the participants who followed a diet based on their genotype lost two to three times more weight than those who were assigned a diet that was inappropriate.  Read full story >
