Statins Do Not Reduce Colon Cancer Risk: Study

New research suggests that cholesterol-lowering statins not only won't protect people from colon cancer, but the drugs may also increase people's risk of developing precancerous colon polyps. But investigators say this finding is "not conclusive," and that patients taking these drugs for cardiovascular treatment should continue taking them as prescribed.  Read full story >
