High Cholesterol Linked to Alzheimer's Disease: Study

New research published in the medical journal Neurology suggests that high levels of cholesterol may increase a person's risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. Scientists say cholesterol may contribute to the development of Alzheimer's by creating more plaque in pathways in the brain. But the researchers say their finding does not mean that people with high cholesterol will definitely develop Alzheimer's, or that lowering cholesterol will necessarily reduce people's Alzheimer's risk.  Read full story >
