today i was told i have myofascial pain syndrom.and they want to do trigger point injections, does anyone have info or have this condition. and does injections help

I've been told that I have fibromyalgia I don't know I think it's myofacial pain cause I have cronic pain in the upper muscles of my arms and forearms and it's progressively getting worse and lyrica and ibuprophen don't help it hurt's so bad and I'm losing my strength in my arms and am having difficulty performing my job tasks I can't raise my arms or move them in certain positions anymore it seems to have started after I got food poisoning last year and I don't know what to do or where to turn next please help if anyone has any idea of what I'm suffering from.
