Im trying to figure and help my sister out on her problem. 8 months ago she went fishing. It was very hot and she had been sucking on a piece of Ice and took her shirt off and put it in the lake and put it back on her to cool off. then after the fishing trip she went home. She started seeing Pictures come alive for a few mins and didnt know what was going on. The person she was with never called 911 or anything. She started having this pain under the right side of her rib like burning all the time. she has gone to so many doctors everyone of them tell her something different. 1-doctor said its the gallbladder its only 7% working they took it out. Still the pain and the burning. 2-said doctor its shingles and gave her medicaid. after that its same pain and same burning. 3- doctor gastrologist. said it was her gall bladder and they took it out. NOPE paid is still there. 4- doctor pain clinic dont know need to see some one else. 5- doctor chriopator- cant help dont deal with anything around the rib cage. maybe it could be a ligement?? 6- doctor Nurclear she goes this week. she has gone to everydoctor under the moon. I would like to see her feeling good one more time shes only 53 years old and use to work in the yard all the time. now she goes home and lies in the bed everyday.
We have gotten a run around on all doctors on this. see cant sleep or work like she use to and is hurting so much the meds they give her dont even work and the patches for pain. _She said when pressing on that side she can hear a pop and rolls in that area. what other kind of doctor is there for this or can someone direct me to a good doctor that will not push her on the side and just give her meds and not find out what it is. what is a ligiment doctor?she ask me today how much more can she take shes gving up and i told her i would still fight to find a doctor for her and the right one. can anyone help.
God Bless
Thank you for listening to me. If you know of anything please let me know

(I posted this as an answer to your question in our Q & A section, but am reposting it here just in case you didn't see it.)
Your sister is fortunate to have you to advocate for her. Chronic pain can be so draining that it's easy to get discouraged. And the process of trying to get an accurate diagnosis is frustrating, exhausting and often scary. I commend you for your efforts to support, encourage and help her find answers. As a chronic pain patient, I can't tell you how much it helps to have someone who believes you're really in pain.
An orthopaedic specialist may be a good type of doctor for your sister to try. They specialize in injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system – bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves.
Some tips for your sister's next doctor appointment:
• If it's possible for you and she's willing, it would be good if you could go to the appointment with her. It's really helpful to have someone that can make sure you ask the necessary questions and to take notes of what the doctor says. When someone's nervous or anxious and in pain, it's easy to forget.
• Have her write out her medical history and a list of her current symptoms ahead of time to give to the doctor.
• Have her try to get copies of any tests, surgical reports, etc. that have been done in relation to this problem so the doctor can review them and doesn't have to repeat tests that have already been done. (Under HIPPA laws, she has a right to any or all of her medical records, but they may charge for the cost of making the copies.)
I hope your sister is able to get an answer to what is causing her pain soon.
