My husband has had 5 back surgeries over the past 3 years. 4 of them discytomies and 1 fusion. He has chronic pain now at age 40.I have never heard of your problem though I would try to avoid having additional surgeries to correct the problem if they say they can. Try everything you can before going there. Acuptunture etc. Is he having the same symptoms that he had before the surgery? How old is he?

My husband is 73 and surgery was 13 months ago and he still needs a cane to walk. We are now seeing a new neuroligist and they are doing nerve ending test-conduction test. He has a problem with balance yet. Decompression and fusion was his surgery and they definitely damaged musles and nerve endings. The quad muscle in the left leg has problems which we hope to find more about.
