Vicoden
Eunice J
Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 03:15 PMHi,
My name is Eunice and I also Have severe pain and have had no releif with most pain meds. I also take vicoden ES and am constitently fighting with my pharmasits and insurance to get it. That has been the only medication along with tramadoyl that seems to work for me. I have to take a combo of the tramadoyl, vicoden ES, and tylenol arthritis to get some pain releif. But believe it or not that doesn't even take it all away. I still have a ton of pain. I'm sorry you are going thru all this and having such pain. I can relate. I would love to keep in touch with you if you would like a friend? If you want my personal email just let me know. Take care.
I hope you have a blessed holiday season. God bless you. I will pray for you.

Eunice J
P.S. sorry about the spelling. LOL

Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 07:34 PMWow!!!
I have some of the same pain as you, but were opposite with the meds.
Im allergic to vicoden.
I take oxycontin and percocett. Does help me get threw a day, but lately with the weather im not doing so well.
Im really short tempered the last few days, because this pain is just getting worse all the time. It is hard to be in pain and my 3 year old is not listening.
Stress makes the pain worse, as im sure you know.
Im sapose to get some kind of injection in my fingers for the arthritis next week.
I hope that helps at least with the numbness and pain. If my fingers still keep getting stuck down-whatever.
Ofcourse they did'nt tell me what kind of injections or even if I need a driver.
I was put on prednisone like 3 times and it would only help for a week, if I was lucky.
Pretty much take hot baths with muscle pain relief salz, or epsiom saltz.
Creams/lotions for muscle relief.
They do help for maybe a day or over night.
A friend gave me a gift certificate for a chiropractor and I finally had a chance to get in and I did so yesturday.
He needed my x-rays to futher evaluate me, so I called today and was transfered 4 times. All the ppl I talked to said they don't take care of that.
So I don't know what the deal was, after I was being transfered to the 5th person, I hung up- I was so fed up and irritated.
Now I don't have them for my appointment tomarrow, and will just cancel it. It's not worth the stress.
I finally found a nice person that wanted to help me and the clinic wont give me my x-rays.
Was wondering if you have to go threw this b.s. and if you get treated like a drug seeker, or doctors treat you like your a criminal???

Boy, I feel for you! I myself have the same problem with RA meds. I'm allergic to asprin & anti-inflammatory meds, causing an asthmatic reaction. Luckily, I finally have a Dr who is treating my pain but it's been a hard road getting there! I had to go through 4+ Dr's. They sure don't make it easy on us! I wish I had some helpful suggestion for you, but sadly I don't. I 'm taking moriphine for my pain, along with other meds for fibro, lupsus, etc. Your reaction to some of the pain meds is awful to have to worry about too. You would think that your Dr would take that into consideration.
I just wanted to write you & let you know that you're not alone in this situation...I know, it doesn't help that much at all. ~Maybe with enough of us sharing our stories & what an aweful journey some of us have to go through to get the proper treatment, they will change things. It's pretty simple......your patients have the right to live a pain-free life!
I wish you the best with your journey to being free from pain.
Take care & gentle hugs.
peace,laughter & miracles,
Bambi
