Do I ever understand this dillema! I have cancer, and spinal diseases, as well as injuries to the spine. It took me two long years to get into a pain management center. I went to the same clinic for seven years, and was recently discharged for missing six appointments without 24 hour advanced notice....

I also have a disease that causes chronic pain, I cannot get pain control treatment, Oh, I take that back, I can get it from the very patients from the same Dr. who refuses me pain treatment, the only difference is that I have to meet them in an alley, give them $100's, and risk prision, if I want pain control.  It appears that the very people that are getting these narcotic's from this Dr. are indeed lining their pockets.  If I was given pain meds by a Dr, ' no amount of $$ would make me part with them, that is how much pain I experience every single day.  I have come to dislike physician's and cannot believe the poor judgement they show by perscribing to people who sell them.  They can't be that stupid, can they? And yes I would not hesitate to tell confront the Dr's involved but I have a kid that i would like to keep safe. Anoynomus

That is outrageous that this doctor's patients are obtaining pain meds and then selling them, but this same doctor denies your requests!!  I, too, have grown to dislike and distrust doctors.  They have some agenda when it comes to prescribing pain meds--I just can't figure out what it is.  But to deny pain relief to those of us so desperate for it is unforgiveable and they don't deserve to be called "Dr.". What, if anything, are they teaching these doctors in medical school?  It certainly isn't compassion, the desire to relieve suffering--I suspect it is more related to teaching arrogance, coldness and greed.
