My name is Cheryl and up until the age of 36(now 45) I only had the problem of Migraines, which is now 25 years last year! In the year 2000, I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis, which is very rare, but the closest thing to it is Rheumatoid Arthritis. When I began taking different medications, CONSTANTLY, things started to go down hill and have never gotten better. I take 27 different drugs EVERYDAY and that is the number of drugs, not number of pills. I have thyroid problems, sleep problems, as I can be awake up to 42 hours at a time. I have huge anxiety issues but through a drug and a psychologist, things are getting better. In 2001, I developed Sciatica in my leg and of course, eventually in my back, and other problems developed in my back. I went to Physio for two years straight, without a break! As I went along, I developed Diabetes, and I forgot to mention that I have had Depression for about 18 years. My blood pressure can be under control with medications, but then it goes through its periods that it goes way out of wack! My poor stomach suffers with all of the different drugs being tried, some staying and some going, that I have stomach problems. In 2002, I finally had to go on Long Term Disability. I worked part time from 2000 to 2002 because I did not want to give up, as I felt that I had the ability to still work, so they let me try, but eventually, I had to give it up. Unfortunately, that is my whole life...which is drugs, and 24-26 medical appointments each month, which is almost what the average person works per month. I have little support, but I am determined to keep on fighting...sometimes alot and sometimes, little, but I always make a come back. A 45 year old woman is too young to sit home and go to medical appointments. But for now, you have just learned EVERYTHING about me. Thanks for listening
