Opening the Door of Change
Christina Lasich, MD
Thursday, September 04, 2008 at 01:43 PMThank you for your comments and sharing your philosophy. Reaching the acceptance point is critical for living with pain. Acceptance is like the doorknob on the door of change and adaptation. By turning the knob, you have choosen to accept your new reality. The reality is that you are not the same person who can do everything. Your body now has limitations that you need to live within. By accepting the reality of change, you can adapt and find a new pathway behind the door. You just need to turn the knob and open the door. Survivors accept, adapt, and have the courage to open the door of change. Dr. Christina Lasich, MD
