June 2010 in Review

By CRegal, Editor Monday, June 28, 2010

Hello everyone and welcome back for another recap from the month that was.  This time, we close the books on June 2010.  Thank you for the support of this site and our wonderful team of Experts.  We hope you enjoyed the content for the month.

In case you missed it...

Dr. Christina Lasich provided commentary on a variety of topics.  She started with some of the social aspects of chronic pain, including a discussion of helping someone in your life with chronic pain, positive communication despite pain, and provided a social life-preserver for those in need.  She also discussed the viability of testosterone replacement therapy in men, and which diets to consider to help control pain.

To help with the discussion of social lives and chronic pain, I wrote a piece discussing some of the social hardships experienced by chronic pain sufferers.

Karen Lee Richards provided valuable commentary on Fibromyalgia in Men.  She also hosted our second-ever Live Chat.  Karen also provided a recommendation for Goodnighties sleepwear to ease pain, announced the availability of AWARE Magazine online and reported on the confirmation of the pain-relieving properties of acupuncture

In other news breakthroughs, the XMRV-ME/CFS connection was confirmed by the FDA and a new fibromyalgia diagnostic criteria was proposed

We also published a quiz on fibromyalgia vocabulary.  How much do you know?

Finally, we published a downloadable guide on 10 Things NOT to Say to a Fibromyalgia Patient.  Print it out and keep it handy!

Have a wonderful summer!
