Need help severe back pain!

By Cluds Tuesday, September 25, 2007
I am a 46 year old female who has been diagnosed with demylinating disease. My previous Neuro said possible MS. Lesions on brain but not enough yet to make a for sure diagnosis. I have now been diagnosed with Kyfosis and have severe back pain. I went to a new Neuro yesterday because my previous Neuro's practice had become so large that there were times that I would call and really need help and no one would get back with me. I truly loved him and he understood my pain, however; he was an hour and a half away and I could not get to him quickly so I opted to get a local Neuro. Do you think there is something else possibly wrong with my spine????? Looking  for some advice... My blood pressure is out of the roof because of the pain and I am on no pain meds. Help????
Went to Physical Therapy today

Acupuncture I have had ms for 17 years now and my syptoms come and go. I have lower back pain and can't stand for more than 15 minutes at a time. The demylination can cause so many brain farts as I call them, to have so many problems, sight, feelings, walking, hearing, and speech. I am suppose to have an mri to see if this is causing my back pain. I have had channel blocks in my lower back for pain but the last set didn't help at all. I hope that you can get some help so and that you don't have ms. another disease that myic ms is lupus. So please take care. God bless you and take care.

I am so glad that you replied. I thought that I was all alone here. I am so sorry about your 17 years worth of symptoms. I am sure that your pain has been unbearable. Which stage of MS do you have? I will keep you in my prayers. I feel bad for complaining but you know how I feel. Take care and hope to talk to you soon. Lori

I have progressive and relapsing ms. I have my good days and my really great days. The bad days are just that bad days. I don't worry about the bad days anymore. I just look forward to the good ones. God bless you and take care. Please let me know how you are doing.

Susan I am suppose to have the relapse/remitting type however; I have been more in relapse lately. I had to go today and have a spinal tap and myeligram. My pressure was 33 and it is suppose to be 10. I guess my left Pseudo tumor is drawing more spinal fluid. The path. removed a good bit.  He was only able to get me down to 15 without my legs jerking. Then I got a spinal headache which I usually don't get. But the Dr. said it was the dye they had to shoot in for the Mylegram and for the increased spinal fluid pressure. Anyway, I had a birthday yesterday and we had a death in our family so things are alittle unsettling to say the least. say a little prayer for us. take care

and thanks for the encouragement.
