I haven't made an entry lately. I have been in excrutiating pain which I know that most of you can understand. My back has4 ruptured disk and 3 bulging disk. I saw one surgeon who was a quack and then I went to a pain clinic and finally someone was willing to help me. The new Neurologist that I went to said that my MS and Pseudotumors were all in my head. Well I had been diagnosed 3 years ago. I fired him. I told him I thought he was not in medicine to help anyone but his wallet, then he refused to give me my records which I brought with me. I finally found a Neurosurgeon who is going to help me get to the bottom of my back problems. My spinal tap opening pressure was 33 and it is suppose to be around 10 so needless to say my head has been about to explode. If anyone knows anything about Pseudotumors and knows how high it can go without something bad happening please let me know. thanks Lori

I certainly hope since you last stopped by that your finding some help with your severe excruciating pain.
I sure do wish that everyone did not have to waste such valuable time passing through the exam rooms of those who could care less. It's seems so difficult to even get to the doctor, let alone have it be a waste of time too boot!
I look forward to the next time you are able to stop in again.

I'm glad that you've come around again.
I'm really sorry about your nero-surgeon not excepting you back. I also hope that everything turns out well and the Kirkland Clinic.
About a year 1/2 ago, I had considered changing PC physicians, as I felt mine was just too slow to act on my pain and on the severity of it at times. I talked to a counselor at my pain clinic and asked if they could recomend another PC in our medical provider's groups, she came up with a few more names, and after I thought about having to start all over with a new doc, it just did not seem like such a great idea. My PC was just taking my medications very slowly and I was and had struggled for a long time with undertreated pain that I was nearly to a point of it pushing me over the edge. Looking back, I'm very thankful that I decided to stay put, as things have improved a great deal with working with both my Pain doc and my PCare, they do a good job of both deciding together what course of treatment would be best for me and everything has finally worked it's way out.
I still get frustrated once in a while and yes, I've had weeks where I've been in rediculesly high pain levels and not gotten a call back for several days. It's very frustrating, but when I talked to my doctor about it, he gave me his e-mail and apparently he had not been getting the messages to call me until the day it was handed to him, so somthing was lacking in their system, instead of my doctor ignoring me. He answers every e-mail I get within 24 hours and that has made my life much simplier.
I certainly hope you get everything worked out with your new doctor. Although, I don't understand why your past nero would not take you back as a patient?? Did you part on bad terms or was his professional feelings hurt?
