Seems like when I hit 50 in December my warranty ran out! First gallbladder surgery, then last week I had to have a very unpleasant thing called an endometrial biopsy, no numbing included. You gals can probably picture what that was like. This comes after an abnormal ultrasound of the uterus and 6 weeks of continuous symptoms which all point towards uterine cancer. I've actually been having dysfunctional bleeding for 2 years which former docs attributed to "stress" without bothering to do any testing and despite my denials of being under stress. So this time I ignored it as I really was stressed. As well, you start to feel real reluctant to complain when you've been brushed off before. Once again I thank heavens for finding Dr Young and having someone pro-active for my health besides me. All I did was mention it and he was all over it. If this turns out to be cancer than it's been going on for 2 years at least. I won't know the results till the end of this week or later, talk about a looooong week. If it is positive i will need a hysterectomy. If it has spread to the lymph nodes they will take them too and do radiation. It is possible it is only hyperplasia which can be stopped with hormone therapy or ablation. Not suprisingly, I had a terrible flare start the day after the biopsy and went from feeling great (for me) to being in bed for three days and now my pain levels are WAY up there too. I'm feeling scared and discouraged. What next?  Hugs to you all...Christine
