Some say I am Pollyanna, but I don't much care. At 44, I've earned that right. It has gotten me through both the best and worst of times. My name is Lisa, and my life has been a journey that has tested my resolve on more than one occasion. But I am here... and that's something! I keep telling myself that this latest challenge is just a page in my life; but as time goes by... it is getting harder to believe it!

I come from a large family, a result of the divorce and remarriage of both parents. I am one of the lucky ones. Although my relationship with some members is highly dysfunctional; for the most part, they are loving and supportive... especially my parents (mom & stepfather)! Without them, I don't know where I would be. They have never allowed me to believe that I couldn't overcome anything that stood in my may. Maybe allowed is a bit dramatic, but they certainly foster a healthy, "Positive Mental Attitude (PMA)". It is in who they are, that I have emerged.

Life isn't always easy, but it's worth it. You have to find your balance... and just breathe through the rough times. The answers aren't always clear, but I am a firm believer in finding the silver lining.
