About Me

Due to arachnoiditis I have suffered with multiple progressive symptoms and unbearable chronic pain since 1977. Next month the batteries will be replaced in a pain pump that was initially implanted in 2002. The pump reduces the volume of pain in my lower back and sciatic nerve, but is no panacea. Today, my pain remains constant with continuous periods of unmanageable breakout pain. My husband and I, both baby-boomers, are caretakers for one another. He has mysethenia gravis, with severe muscle weakness and chronic fatigue. Due to limitations in our health, our current status of retirement greatly differs from the visions and dreams we once shared. Daily we express our love for one another--over and over, and feel blessed to be supporting each other with true empathy and understanding.
