Dawn-Marie, I have just about every orthopedic problem + headaches and RSD

By Dawn Saturday, May 02, 2009

the good news is that after a number of suicide attempts, I have come to terams with my pain and am learning to live with it.  Advances in medications, epidural and trigger point techniques, and psychiatric meds and treatment along with periodic physical therapy and pain and nead ache medication have all come together in a delicate balance to allow me to live not pain free, but with the knowledge that I can live a life even with pain and be a productive person.

Dawn-Marie,

That is such good news! It can take so long to finally find a treatment combo that works for you.  I like the way you described it as a "delicate balance."  So true! I can't tell you how happy it makes me to hear you've come to terms with your pain and are looking forward to a productive life.  Our pain certainly changes the life we once thought we would have, but if we're willing to adapt and make some changes, we can still have a very rewarding and fulfilling life.  I hope you'll share some of your art and/or creative writing with us.

Karen
