Living with Chronic hip burning pain for 6 years. Have had Ct scan and a MRI. Nothing major showed up that shows why I am having this chronic hip/buttock burning pain all the time.

A number of things can cause hip pain and burning – sciatica, bursitis, tendonitis and inflammation to name a few.  You might try our Symptom Checker to see if you can narrow down the possibilities.

I used to have a lot of hip pain similar to what you describe.  I never found out what caused it, but when I started getting Myofascial Release Therapy, it got much better.  It took several treatments before it went away but I seldom have a problem anymore.  Now if it does crop back up, it usually only takes one treatment to get rid of it again.  You can read more about MRT here:  Myofascial Release Therapy
